Procedure
When a couple contact us for adoption we ask them to send all the necessary papers to complete their files with us, now all the papers do not need to be notarized by the Lebanese embassy yet and all we need is copies. Once this is done the committee will study the file and give its approval for adoption or not. The family will be informed of the decision and then they will be put on the waiting list. The file will not be studied until all papers are received. Whenever a child is found we will contact the couples in order of placement in the waiting list. Once the child is matched with a couple then we need 3 sets of all the papers to be notarized by the Lebanese Embassy and sent to us as originals. Once all the papers of the child and the adoptive parents are ready to be sent to court, we will contact the parents to come to Lebanon and the court for a court date.
Criteria for Adoptive Parents
The couple should be devout Christians, promising to raise the child on Christian values.
The couple's financial status should be sufficient to provide for the child's basic needs.
The husband's age should not exceed 50 and the wife's age 45.
The priority of adoption is for the family that has no children.
The committee studies the file of the adoptive parents to make sure that the parents fulfill the requirements and criteria set. Also, the committee should follow the guidelines set by the Evangelical canon court.
