What is the future plan?
Since its displacement from its previous location in 1985,
Cedar home has been renting two flats, in an old building near
downtown Beirut. Due to the renovations of that area, the building
will be sold and Cedar Home will be asked to leave at any time
to become displaced again. That is why the Home is now building
its own new location in Bsalim in order to provide:
- A larger space (2 acres) to receive a larger number
of girls (96) in a house surrounded by trees and playgrounds.
- A place for boys too.
- A place for children less than three years of age.
- Rooms for the graduate girls until they can support themselves.
This project was started in 1992. By faith we are building
stone by stone. Our dream is big but our God is bigger. By God’s
help and your support this building will be completed in a short
time and the dream of the girls will come true. Jesus said, "let
the children come to me and do not stop them, because the Kingdom
of God belongs to such as these." Luke 18:16. And
in James 1:27 "…religion that God our Father
accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans…"
The cost of the complete building is $850,000. Cedar Home
is in need of every donation you can give. We know according
to the Lord’s promise that He loves the cheerful giver and
gives him many in return according to his riches.
